Mochi &Wagashi

I haven’t posted for a long time!

Sorry, but I was really busy!

Anyways, I’m happy to post again. :)

As you can see from the title, I’m going write a post about Mochi and Wagashi.
Probably, like the first time I saw those two strange words I was thinking..

Whats That? xD

Wagashi and Mochi.. Sounds weird, huh? :D

To me, it sounds like some pet dogs, :p.

Well, just so you know, Its not!

Waah.. I wonder when they’ll finally find out a machine that is able to teleport me to Japan or a shop that sells stuff like this !

Anyways, I should probably get to the point instead of brabbling about random things :)

Mochi is, as Wikipedia says a Japanese Rice cake made of glutinous rice, pounded into paste and molded into shape.

It’s traditionally eaten at Japanese New Year.

(I’m going to write an article about it soon)

Mochi is similar to the Chinese Nian Gao, scrumptious goo,xD

Nian Gao and Mochi are both very sticky and hard to eat.

Though, once you get the hang of it, you’ll never want to stop. :)

Mochi is the base for something even better,

Wagashi !

Japanese Confectionary served with thee.

Some types of Wagashi are also made of azuki bean past and fruits.

Usually it’s made of natural, mainly plant ingrediënts.

There are many types of confectionary based on Wagashi,

Type 1. Rakugan.
A Rakugan is a small, very solid sweet cake which is made of rice flour and Mizuame.

(-Mizuame is a sweetener that is literally translated as Water Candy)

Type 2. Taiyaki!

Beautiful, yummy fish-like mochi !:D

Its actually a fish shaped waffle buut.. :p

Mostly filled with red bean paste or sometimes even with chocolate, cheese or another sauce.

Depends on what you like , of course. :D

Type 3. Anmitsu!

Is made of small cubes translucent jelly made from seaweed, served in a bowl with sweet

bean paste, boiled peas and a variety of fruits such as peach slices, pieces of pineapples, and cherries.

Weell, of course, that aren’t all the types of mochi and wagashi but I got to go now!

Home Decoration

YAY!

I’ve got my own room. :)

We finally managed to put the bed and desk the right place,

now I only have to clean and put everything in the right place…
I bet that’s going to take a LONG time,xD

Anyways, since I’m planning to decorate my room with stuff,

I thought it would be a good idea if I wrote a piece about it in my blog!

Well, before you start running around in circles and yelling,

the stones aren’t real. :)

They’re pillows! They sure do look real though,xD

It’s said that they are really soft and you can get them in all shapes and colors!

Aah, I really want one :D

- You could probably use it as a prank for April Fools,xD

I bet everyone would fall for that.

Next, the animal light.

Well, they are just simple lights in a nice shape actually,xD

But I thought they were really cute so I put them up there.

Now, that Bed really looks great to me.

It’s called, Dream, the Illuminated Bed.

Aaah, It LOOKS nice but since it’s Illuminated I bet it’s really hard to sleep on,:p.

- Though it’s great for people who can only sleep with lights on..

More Info: it’s a double bed with a forest- green matras on it and on the left there are

little shelves. Next to the shelves there is some Puzzle like artwork.
- The Puzzle pieces sure give a lot of light!

I Also found a Pillow that fits PERFECTLY with the Bed :)

Also for people who can’t sleep with lights off.

Here som weird chairs :)

I’m still wondering how you can sit in the first chair unless you are reeaaaaly small..

Oh :( I got to go now!
